gas petal to the floor? Well I notice sometimes went I drive about 45 mph and up the car doesnt know how to idle back down went I stop. Then when I put it in park the idle is so high sound like I am doing about 80mph. Sometimes the idle doesnt settle down until a couple of days. I change the MAF sensor, and I'm going to try cleaning the throttle position sensor. The weather is very hot by the way. But any idea what else could cause this. THANKS

How about gummy linkage that prevents the throttle from moving back or a weak return spring that doesn't pull back properly? On a car that age, I would also follow the whole linkage to see if anything has fallen to partly block it.

a 93 has no carburetor or choke. you could have a vacuum leak or a bad throttle position sensor.

Throttle cable could be frayed and sticking, Carb could be gummed up, also the auto choke.
