What would be the the best foreign language to learn for the military?

I was thinking some very beneficial languages would be:
Arabic
Pushtu
Farsi
and a few others.
What do you think?
I'm thinking about trying to become a interpreter/translator in one of the branch's of the Military.

I'd say Arabic and Pashtu

arabic. but be advised it is very difficult to get into DLAB. many will not see a language school during first enlistment. also the non-cognate languages are very difficult.

Pashto is one language that the military needs translators for. It is a really new language and the grammatical rules aren't in concrete yet which makes it extremely difficult to teach. The washout rate at the Presidio is really high for it. Other languages that come a close 2nd are Farsi, Dari and Arabic.

You're right on track, but I believe all of those are level 4, very difficult for a native English speaker to learn.
