2000 Honda Civic? i wantd a Hifonics Brutus amp but heard that they are crap. any suggestions? :)

all you really need is a jl audio 500/1 amp with a 8 gauge rockford fosgate amp kit because they have more copper wire in there amp kits it will give u a nice sound to it

alpine amplifiers will give you every ounce of power they have. they have a 1000 watt amp but its kinda expensive at 800 dollars Alpine PDX-1.1000 but you might be able to find it cheaper online.

then there is jl and they are just as nice. but you will really pay a dollar for every watt that it will push out so that's a grand right there. the JL Audio 1000/1v2 is expensive and the JL Audio G-MAX is also very nice.

i like mtx iv always been a huge fan i have mtx in my car amp and subs and i love my stuff. the ta81001 is nice and the te1501d is nice too.

memphis makes some amazing equipment too.

then the Pioneer Premier PRS-D2000SPL is a less expensive model.

really for a your L7 you need 1000 rms is needed.

if it were me id go with kicker cause it matches the sub so the Kicker 08ZX1000.1 is on sale right now for 400 at onlinecarstereo.com it is 1000 watts

kenwood doesn't do such a bad job with the Kenwood Excelon KAC-X1R it isn't too bad.

the Rockford Fosgate T10001bd is also nice.

i too a long time working on this.

someone did the research for me on here so i thought i would do that for you. it really helped me so i thought id help you out.

I just hooked up a jl audio 500/1 to a mtx 9500 in a friends car and it really pounds.. for the L7 though I would put a Kicker 750.1 or a 1000.1 on it if your wanting to go cheap.

if it was me i would go JL audio because of the thd = .05% and 1000w at any ohm load between 1.5 - 4ohms. the alpine pdx amps are nice, but they do get really hot, so if u do buy them they say there stack able but i wouldn't do it because it just gets so hot.

you can find kicker amps online really cheap under refurb sections.

and the hifonic's amps arn't really crap, they just have a really high chance of noise, and distortion. they are cheap power, and when buying audio equipment always remember, you get what you pay for

why? do you really listen to music in your car that much? or is this just to attract the ladies because you have no personality?
