I would like to have something similar to the smooth ride of a station wagon or thunderbird. I will be using the motor and computer (if equipped) from the chassis. I believe the Ford F-100 has a 115" wheelbase, but I am not sure of the track width.
I'm much more familiar with the '61 though '66 but I wanted to throw in my 2 cents.
A fellow F100 buddy of mine put on a rear sway bar off of a ranger and replaced the whole front steering and suspension with that of a late model crown vic. It rides very nicely and handles well. It also tracks straight when the front end comes off the ground at the drag strip!
