When I was entering high school they gave a us a list of books to read. try Charles Dickens, Jane Austin, Emily Bronte, Nathaniel Hawthrone or C.S. Lewis work up towards adult reading.
Try Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, The Scarlet Letter, Pride and Prejudice (read the book and then rent the movies much more fun that way) try Moby Dick, White Fang, The Chonicles of Narnia read on different levels at this age and re-read them at 16 and you will notice new things.. that is why they are all called classics.
