What would be Australia's bowling lineup for the First Ashes Test?

Well I think we are being too mean to Hauritz.

If the pitch will be a raging turner, then Hauritz can definitely get some turn. With Clark because he can swing it.

Otherwise its definitely Clark and Siddle.

@Bill P, there will be no Hilfenhaus, get over it!

I meant playing XI not the whole Squad.

With Brett Lee regaining form and with Mitchell Johnson being a certain choice, which four bowlers will be selected to play in the first test starting on 8th of this month?
A 4-pronged pace attack or an attack comprising of 3 pacers and a spinner? Has Nathan Hauritz done enough to convince his captain and the team management to be selected for the first test?

Even though Hauritz is a talented bowler, I think the selectors are going to go with an all-pace attack. Lee, Johnson, Siddle, Clarke and Hilfenhaus. Their pace attack is something they can count on.

Hauritz is inexperienced, but I'm confident he will have heaps of opportunities now, even if he doesn't play in the Ashes.

I think they will go with a pace attack. Johnson, Siddle, Lee and Hilfenhaus. They will use Clarke, Katich and North as their spinners.

Note that Hilfenhaus is in the Ashes squad.

Excepting Mitch, the rest of the pace attack cannot be relied upon though Brett Lee took wickets. Stuart Clark not penetrative, Shane Watson's reporting injury is due any moment. Hauritz was toyed by the cubs. North - an all rounder? To sum up, the Aussie bowling attack is just about 25% of what it used to be till Pidge was there.
