What would be a good first subwoofer & amp system (16 year old) for under $500?

I have a 02 HYUNDAI Sonata and i'm looking for a good pair of 10's and a good amp to go with but i'm trying to keep it under $500. I've looked at some Power Acoustik PW3-10H but i can't seem to find any detailed or educated reviews on them. I'm open to all suggestions (except xplods......they really explode.)
