im looking into buying a automatic 94 dodge stealth SOHC with 114k on the clock for $1900. only problem is that it apparently has "a miss" does that mean like miss in spark or fuel what? im lost on it lol. owner told me it hasnt been driven in 4 years so its going to need a little TLC. a friend of mine told me that if i just do a complete tune up on it, it should be fine. is this true? also another friend told me the SOHC doesnt put out as much as the DOHC and is far less weaker in HP. true or false? if you could answer all these questions id very much appreciate it, thanks for your time.

a miss could be anything from a bad valve to a burnt valve or a blown head gasket, the tranny wont be whats missing, it will be the engine causing the miss fire in it,secondly if you buy any car regardless of what it is a dodge ford or even a chevy that has been setting that long its going to need a lot of work done to it,so keep this in mind before you buy it,you may be buying a car that will become a money pit for you, there's no way that anyone can guarantee you that just a tune up will cure the problem with it,and it is true that the dohc engine produces more horse power ,but also gives more problems,so on this one its buyer beware, good luck.
