...What will become of us file-sharers?

Now that every person is being sued for file-sharing, are we (I'm a limewire user) going to be prosecuted for it? How much risk are we actually taking?

I've been sharing files for a couple of years, knowledge belongs to the people..music included.

Just look at the msn article on the main page

I can't even imagine going to court and paying 3 to 12 thousand dollars for a couple of songs...

What to do..what to do...

They've released a little program called "Peerguardian" and it blocks IP addresses from the RIAA etc...It's incredibly useful if you're paranoid since you have so many mp3's but I suggest you go through the forums and download the old version (1.97 I think) because the latest version has a lot of bugs that are yet to be fixed....although they are working very hard at it.. Lots of run-time errors, etc..

All of us will probably need some kind of program like this soon...all we can do now is stay alert I suppose..

Take care,
