What will Android 3.0 bring...

What will Android 3.0 bring and will the Htc Desire HD be able to run it?

Also how many apps can an Android phone hold, is the app space limited by the number of pages or the size of the SD card?

Also as it's just speculation what do you hope Android 3.0 brings?

Thanks

3.0 is the next big thing you must have figure out that it must have froyo or top it

well, it's a given that the desire hd will be able to run gingerbread.

and apps2sd is official with froyo, so as long as the desire hd has that, it'll be able to hold up to the size of your sd card (which i think the max is 32gb?). your app limit shouldn't be a problem.

Not entirely true. Only apps that have been specifically built to be installable on the SD card can be moved to or installed on the SD card with FroYo. Not all apps can be built like this because whenever you connect your phone to a PC and mount the drive the SD card becomes inaccessible to the Android. Any app that uses the SD card will have major problems with this.

There are ways (i.e. hacks) that allow you to move any app on to the SD card, even if it's not built to support this. But you still have the above problem so it's really not advisable.

It's really not much of an issue with new phones. I don't know of the internal storage size of the HTC Desire HD, but my Samsung Galaxy S has 2GB of app storage. I've got nearly 200 apps on my phone and I'm not even 1/4 of the way through that 2GB yet.

The Desire should be able to run it (similar hardware to N1). Android 3.0 should have a reworked UI. That's as far as anyone knows.
