What watch do you wear? Part 2

Just wondering how tight/slack everyone prefers the steel strap on their watch?
I prefer mine snug, but feel the TAG I've bought is taking the mick a little.
Fine when my wrist is cold, but tight enough to leave marks and feel sweaty/itchy when my wrist is hot.
The trouble is, it sits lovely in the middle of my wrist.
So will adding a link ruin the 'balance' and make it sit to one side?

(the previous owner removed around 4 links, which I have)

has anyone got or owned a Steinhart watch? They certainly look the part.

Nav B II B-Type - Pilot Watch - Steinhart Watches
Nav B-Uhr B-Muster - Pilot Watch - Steinhart Watches
Nav B-Uhr II 44 mm hand driven - Pilot Watch - Steinhart Watches

I always wear my watch, never leave the house without keys, wallet and watch, people I know who don't wear one never have. As for the phone replacing the watch, I don't see it happening, I have two phones with me daily and never use one to check the time.

People who never wear a watch I can understand why but I just don't think it will ever replace the watch.

I'd much rather have it off "balance" then too tight... to be honest though, all my watches are loose and still look balanced...

Easily enough room to fit a finger between wrist and bracelet...

Looks fairly balanced to me.

I'm thinking about a Luminox, purely for night-time use.
I like the idea of the self-generating lume Luminox do.
Doesn't need charging with light, doesn't fade over time.
Anyone have one, or had one?

I have been wearing a Nav B Chrono II nearly every day for the past couple of years. I really like it - never missed a beat and seems to be wearing well. No noticeable marks on it.

They are made in Germany but have Swiss movements and are pretty well regarded on the watch forums I used to frequent whilst researching.

Gunter Steinhart is a nice chap who you can quizz by email before or after you have purchased on line.

I didn't like the rivetted strap that seem to common on these watches so ordered one of the padded leather straps with the butterfly clasp in black but also wear it on a brown Di-Modell too.

Comes nicely boxed and each watch is individually nurabered.

I quite simply can't abide leather straps or rubber for that matter. I can "sort of" understand leather straps giving a watch a more elegant look but they are just not for me. Also, most straps don't fit my wrists

looks really nice!

how would you compare the build quality to anything you have owned previously? im trying to get an idea of what one of these are like compared to the Hamilton 46mm Pilot. is the anti reflective coating on the glass particularly effective?

Im assuming the VAT price wont incur any customs charges? Lastly - how about some pics?

Oh yes this was another Hamilton I liked http://www.watchshop.com/mens-hamilton-khaki-pilot-46mm-automatic-watch-h64715885-p99937376.html

Agree'd. First thing on in the morning is my watch. Then my keys, wallet and phone before leaving for work or whatever.

I always naked without my watch on the few times i have forgotten to put it on. And, I very rarely use my phone for the time.

If they're made in Germany and coming from Germany, there shouldn't be any customs charges at all in to the UK.
If you bought a German watch from the USA though, it would have the potential for customs charges.
