I remember watching this a few years back and being enthralled. It was either on Animal Planet or the Discovery Channel, although I'm leaning towards Animal Planet. It basically went over life after man, in terms of living physical beings. It had a lot of cool CGI showing future animals that would live in the time being described. It continued going further down the line, until it got to the point where it was detailing squids walking through forests on their tentacles, ruling the earth.
Just to clarify, this was not the History Channel's "Life After People", it went into detail about the far future.
