What was the "sex talk" like in the 1950's?

The 1950's is known as a decade of innocence but I was wondering (especially if you were a teenager in the 1950's), what was it really like? I am a new mother and wonder what the talk and trends will be like for my daughter when she gets to high school when I think back at my high school years and how "morally loose" some girls were. Was there more premarital sex going on then history leads us to believe or did most people go to their wedding beds virgins? Was "girl talk" or "locker room talk" amongst high schoolers common or was it pretty much on the down low?
