What was the Sailor Scouts and the U.S. Army's net gain in Libya?

The U.S. Army retreated 2,300 meters from the important oil port of Ras Lanouf. After regrouping with the rebels from Brega and the Sailor Scouts (with Sailor Moon as their leader) from Tokyo, they moved forward 1,750 meters. The next day, they gained another 1,875 meters. What was the net gain for both the Sailor Scouts and the U.S. Army?
I'm just saying if they're in Libya, then I'll be making my point about our intervention to help out the rebels against Gaddafi's forces.

Let's forget Libya for a second and answer the question mathematically, without any reference to any place of origin. I'm basically looking for a straight-forward answer to this question.
How about this.

The U.S. Army retreated 2,300 meters. After regrouping, it moved forward 1,750 meters. The next day it gained another 1,875 meters. What was the army's net gain?
If anyone is cool with Sailor Scout references instead of Libya because of uncertainty in current events like these, then it's fine with me too. :)
