Are the NRL testing the waters in both Perth and Adelaide with regards to starting up teams in those cities?? They do need to go "National" if they want to up the ante with the TV rights, the AFL have a huge advantage at the negotiating table with teams in most major cities, the NRL should look at maybe relocating a struggling team, I'm sure Perth could fit in 2 rugby sides

Maybe they are just testing the waters ,but the Western Force seem to be doing ok in Rugby but they compete with teams from South Africa as well as NZ and the East Coast its a long way to travel but so is NZ Rugby League is by far the most exciting code its just a matter of exposing it to a larger audience.I live in Thailand and everyone i have introduced to watching League inc Pommys Yanks Indians, Germans Italians, and Thais just love it and ask me why it is not played in more countries, what can i tell them. AFL gets saturation coverage over here, people ask why NRL is soooo much better.

Perth had a side in the Jim Beam Cup last year and look like they will either play in the NSW Cup or the Qld Cup next season. I agree with you. They get good crowds for the Western Force and the Western Reds got some passable crowds when they were in the comp.
