What was the most awe-inspiring thing you've ever seen?

Coolie tracks carved into the side of cliffs over the Yangtze River (1). The tracks were not awe inspiring, but what they were used for and who used them was. That picture was taken upstream of the Three Gorges Dam after the river had rose over 200 feet. Imagine fifty or more Chinese laborers wedged into those tracks pulling a boat up river and keep in mind that they were over 200 feet above the river!
