What was the first DVD you ever bought?

Jakie Chan's First Strike. Largely because HMV only had about three to choose from, the whole thing being so new at the time. I just wanted something to prove that my brand new Hong Kong imported player actually worked.

The Matrix was the first I actually went out and bought.

Although the first ones I had were US Marshals, Contact, Lethal Weapon 4 and something else I can't remember that came with the machine - I was an early adopter :)

*Has so many, has forgotten*
My first experience with a DVD player was when I got my first PS2 one christmas...I think it might have been a random frienRAB DVD or two.

The Mummy - Free with the PC I bought

First one I actually bought myself was The World Is Not Enough.

After six months I wanted a proper dvd player to watch dvd's on my normal tv. They never looked right on a 15 inch PC screen.

Twister. One of the first DVRAB pressed. I happened to pick up my first DVD player from Japan in 1996. Yes folks, I'm one of thouse types who jumped on the bandwagon the very moment I heard of the medium. I did the same for Laserdisc. Fortunately DVD hasn't died a quick death like both that format and HD-DVD have done, not to mention Betamax. ;)

Tricky one. I got my first 'creative labs' DVD drive for my PC in '97. Some of my first DVRAB include Amadeus, Armaggeddon (2 sided version) and R1 versions of The Abyss, ID4, Wag The Dog & Ronin. Thinking about it, back then there were three styles of DVD case. I must have got Godzilla early on as its one of those crystal style cases.
