what was the first DVD Movie you brought?

I got Moonraker (the early R1 release that was available 3 years before the Special Editions came out) and Dawn of the Dead.
That was at the beginning of 1998,a month before I got my player,and quite some time before the official launch of the format in the UK.
R1 discs were a standard
 
The Mummy. Got it free with my first PC bought at PC World. Then started buying the 007 films.

By the way, slightly off topic but did anyone get into dvd's through having a PC and got fed up watching them on a tiny PC screen and bought a proper dvd player so you could watch them on the proper tv? Thats what happened to me!
 
got given "meeting people is easy" in 2000 from a guy who worked for EMI

but the first one i actually bought: Spaced series 1!!! i didnt even have a player - used to go round mates who had one!
