what was the first DVD Movie you brought?

Snap! Although I got my copy at Play.com after nearly passing out when I saw how cheap their prices were. It was the start of a steady decline into online shopping addiction :o

Great movie, it still makes me chuckle and I have since got the Special Edition DVD for a mere fiver from guess where... :D

Austin Powers

My dad bought 'Se7en' which was for sale in the shops before they were even selling dvd players...a bit like now with HD-DVD's - you can buy the discs but not many places selling the actual machines.

My first purchases were Bringing Out the Dead and Dogma on Region One from play247 (as it was then).

Early 2000 I think I got them, with an LG Multiregion DVD player from Richer SounRAB that cost

Amazingly, did you know thatthe first film to be commercially released and sold on DVD was Twister (starring Helen Hunt) in 1996. Only 10 years ago.

I can remember the first vinyl record, cassette tape, video, CD & computer game I bought but I'm blowed if I can recall the first DVD I had, which is a more recent event.

First DVRAB I got for my DVD player were Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and From Dusk Till Dawn. Pulp and Dogs were sold when the better editions came out though :)
