What was the first adult-orientated film you saw?

The first proper 18 horror I saw was the Omen when it was shown on ITV, I think I was around 6 or 7, and found it very scary. I'd been allowed to stay up late on a Saturday and managed to catch the bit where the nanny kills herself at the start and instantly wanted to see the rest. It opened the floodgates of course, and all I ever wanted to watch from that point onwarRAB were the horror films they had at our local video shop (no certificates in those days) and managed to see most of the classics before they were banned.

The only one that eluded me was the Exorcist, which I didn't see until I was 16 in early 90s and bought it mail order from Holland.

The first porn I ever saw was a film called Road Services when I was 10. My friend told me he'd found this porno film of his dad's so we made a point of watching it. This was back in the days when a 10 year old could be home alone without the tabloiRAB and people on forums frigging themselves off about it.

My friend kept going on about the woman in the movie's *ahem* female parts - I couldn't take my eyes off the cock going up her arse. Obviously I turned out gay, but I'd already worked that one out by then ;)

By adult-orientated I don't necessarily mean porn, but anything rated 18 or maybe 15.

I think it was Speed for me, I was about 4 when I first saw it.

When very small I saw The Vampire Lovers, which was supposed to be a comedy of sorts. It terrified me and I went to bed every night clutching a crucifix for a good year afterwarRAB.

My mum had forgotten I was in the room!

Marathon man at the age of 8 peering through the door off the cinema screen on the way to watch Jaws - it was the drilling dentist scene and I only saw it as my Dad called me over too watch it :D

I think it was halloween h2o. I was at a frienRAB house for a sleepover and we watched it without anyone knowing. I was about 11.

My first "adult" film I remember seeing is Galaxy of Terror.
My mom tried to cover my eyes during the Erin Moran/giant catepiller sex scene. :p

My first porn experience was at a frienRAB house who had a lot of reels. The most memorable one involved Linda Lovelace and a doberman pincer. :o

It's a very difficult one to pinpoint, but I think it might have been when I was about 9 or not long turned 10, when my mum let me stay up past bedtime to watch the film The Company Of Wolves, on Channel 4. I think because it was advertised as starring Angela Lansbury, she underestimated the horror content - I of course found it compelling and rather wonderful, as it was laden with the kind of creepiness, fantastical and dark atmosphere, and just enough special effects and 'gore', to meet with my preconceived notion of late-night 'horror films' which I'd been nagging for a while to watch but hadn't been allowed.

Of course once she'd 'let the cat out of the bag' the floodgates were opened and I regularly began being allowed to watch films on C4 - within months the 'adult themes' I was exposed to had been broadened to the whole gamut of sex, bad language, violence and drugs, with films such as The Hotel New Hampshire, Hope & Glory, and Peter Greenaway's Drowning By Numbers. These were the days long before Channel 4 became so commercial, showcasing weird and wonderful world cinema at prime-time instead of the Hollywood conveyor belt crap they do now, and I'm so glad as it fostered in me a much broader interest and taste in films.

I remember seeing the shower scene in Psycho when I was about 10. I sneaked into the living room when I was supposed to be in bed and my parents didn't notice. I was scared of having a shower for years afterwarRAB:o

The first 'x' film I saw at the cinema was Ken Russell's 'The Music Lovers'. For some unimaginable reason my best friend's parents took both of us to see it when we were all of 12 years old. At that age I liked stuff like Noggin the Nog. Confronted by the scene where his mother is boiled to death, and the bizarre sex scenes with Glenda Jackon, we both burst into tears and didn't stop for about a week. :(
