What was going on at Camp Pendleton yesterday? (2/22/09)?

Probably training. Be glad you don't like at Fort Campbell (KY), it goes on allllll day, everyday. Lol :D
 
We live about 10 miles from Camp Pendleton. There was a LOT of "booms" and concussion coming from there all day yesterday. It started early in the morning and went on until about 10:30-11:00 pm last night. Then around midnight we saw some huge military helicopters and airplanes flying around. What gives???

My dog is completely freaked out. He has been running around the house like a maniac and hiding in closets. Does anyone know what was going on there yesterday?

We haven't heard this amount of activity coming out of Camp Pendleton since just before the Iraq war started.
