What version (patch) is Rome: Total War Gold Edition?

I'm want to mod the vanilla of Rome, but I don't know what patch Rome: Total War Gold Edition is updated too when you first buy the game (i.e. 1.3,1.5, etc.).

Just for reference, I want to use the Europa Barbarorum mod...
