dont bother with the cooler, most things can stay OK with out. Assuming you are taking a light weight stove??? cook like you do at home.
I cook pasta, cooucous, amaranth, quiona, and veg. I take most durable veg. Like tomatoes, potatoes, kale, green beans, peas, nothing that goes soft fast. take little baggies of salt, pepper, and spices.
I LOVE backcountry gourmet.
