what vacuum do you recommend for my lifestyle?

i think my current one is about to go out..

anyways;
5 people under a 1900 square foot house-3 bedroom
-two teen boys, then me.
two parents
two dogs- both over 70 pounds

and a hectic LifeStyle
our dogs also shed alot..

what do you think?
 
I love my Hoover Mach 5. It has a detachable rotating brush that is great for removing pet hair from upholstrey.
 
i just got a Bissel lift-off revolution (pets) that works great for pet fur. my dog sheds like Oregon rains and i get three full buckets of fur every time i vacuum with this thing. The main vacuum part of it lifts off so you can carry it around with ease and the attachment that comes with it works great on stairs.
