What type of Photography should I plan to work with?

For a beginner, portraits are good because you can practice at family events. Child & wedding photography are in the same category. Once your friends & family know that you take pictures of events they can recommend you to their acquaintances. You can also charge your friends/family at a lower rate to give you a head start in your career.
 
I am interested in pursuing a career in photography but im not entirely sure what aspect of photography. I think most of my pictures are still lifes but im also interested in child photography or like wedding photography. how can i tell when i dont have the chance to experience the different types?!
Most of my good photos I have taken (well i hope they are good - you can see them if you want to) are of flowers, my godson, cakes, a sunset, snow....
please help. thank you. x x
 
Well, the only way to know is to try to get experience and see how you feel about it.

If you like photographing children, try those portrait studios in the mall, or do a season as a school photographer.

If you like nature and landscapes, take some local workshops and see how you like it, and you will learn a lot as well.
