What type of Music would you call this?

My friend let me borrow a CD from a bad named The Protomen and now I'm hooked on their sound. I hate to say it but when I listen to it, I totally drown out the words (all though they're great) and just listen to the music. They have a sound I've never heard before and I'm dying to hear more. I have all their stuff now and my girlfriend says that a band named Boxcar Saints is around the same music style. My friend called it Rockabilly but it doesn't sound like anything I've heard (I've only checked Youtube, so I could be wrong). Rockabilly is more like Elvis and country singers with electric guitars. Anyone know what genre of music this is so I can get more? I sound like a junkie but it really gets me inspired to write and do things. XD
