What type of lawyer should I seek?

...if I want to sue my University for mistreating me
Well, I'm being suspended for the rest of the Summer semester AND the upcoming Fall semester... AND I had an arrest warrant made for me so I was arrested and processed... because I raised my voice at the lady in the Fin Aid office.
Not to mention she actually had to be restrained cuz she was the one threatening to hit me. I think the actions my school is taking is an attempt to cover their tracks before I hit at them for what happened.
So I'm thinking I need a big shot lawyer cuz this is a big shot university with tons of money. What kind of lawyer can help me?
 
you need to provide a little more invormation. 1. what is the mistreatment, and 2. is it a public or private university.

if it is a public university you will probably need a lawyer with expertise in Administrative Law and Civil Rights law. if ti s a private university a tort lawyer will do.
 
It depends on how they are "mistreating you". If you are not being accommodated for your disability, for instance, you would find a lawyer who specializes in ADA law. If you feel you are a victim of racial discrimination, you would find one who handles civil rights cases.
