I want to get a Ph.D in history, i'm a freshman at UF right now (undergrad) and I like history in Europe from around 1300-1700. When you get a Ph.D in history isn't it in a certain field in history? Like for example Medieval Europe or something? So what would history in Europe from 1300-1700 be considered?
What type of history is this considered?
