i have a 10 gallon tank with everything needed.i have an air pump and a filter and some decoration.i want coldwater fish, that is goldfish,so which type would be good for me and should i have a pleco in there?

no PLECOS, they produce so much waste, no joke, your water will probably look like a swamp in 4 days because of it. im sorry to say this, and youll need a stronger filter (20gal filter) and a siphon to clean its poop up every week. black moors, orandas, ryukins, fantails, calico fantails. calico fantails are best. they are simple easy-to-maintain fish. and about the pleco, they grow to be a foot and will eventually eat your coldwater fish so watch out. get a calico fantail. they are so cute and simple! remember that you must do water changes once a week with a SIPHON. it will take up 35% of your water. refill water, add some water conditioner and your all set! Bless your fish and i hope its free of disease when you get it! take care of it!

a 10 gallon is too small for a goldfish (of any type) for more than a few months...

for a more long term option..

look at white clouds, danios, hillstream loaches, sicklebacks, mosquitofish, bullhead minnows and darters
