What type of effect would you call this style of photography?

In some of these photos they are very...surreal looking. The colors and the sharpness and blur together, how can you achieve this? I am in love with this style but is it all done in Photoshop? I guess I want to know what he does to make his pictures look this way. Fine art, but real life.If you have any website with portfolio's similar to this, please let me know.

Thanks!

I looked and just about everything was wedding photography.

There were a few engagement and sitting portraits but not many.

As far as post processing is concerned it is mostly the artist's choice in focal length, composition and lighting that makes the pictures. Some dodging/burning, selective vignette isolation and increased color saturation. According to the bio the owner does the photography and he has two employees. One does supplemental photography and the other does the post processing.

A lot of those appear to be HDR. (High Dynamic Range) It's where you bracket your exposures before your shoot, then take 3,5,7 or so pics of the same thing at different exposures. It allows you to pull out a wide range of lights and shadows. You can make them in programs like Photomatix, or even Photoshop but there's isn't as good.
