is needed to be on SWAT? I'm still in high school but i've really been interested in joining law enforcement after i graduate. The only problem is i have no idea where to start. What kind of college education do i need?
Also after i am working as a police officer i want to work towards being on a SWAT team but i'm not sure what is really needed to do so. Please if you know the answer to either of these or both let me know i'm really confused.
Thanks.

H.S diploma is all that you need.also you will need to do a agility test.
just talk to some local officers themselves and find out what route they took.

you could major in criminal justice. i have a friend who majored in business and was hired anyway. any form of education is better than none. most departments dont even require a college education. check the cities website for where you live. they will list what you need

Most state law enforcement agency require you to be at least 21 years of age; at the federal level the age is usually 23. You will need a bachelor's degree. I got mine in criminal justice; but I would highly encourage a different degree. For example, I wish I would have gotten mine in accounting or a hard science. (They basically accept any degree. In case you change your mind or become physically disqualified due to an injury you have a back up plan.) Also, your uncorrected vision needs to be no worse than 20/60. Check the websites of the organizations you are interested in.

consider, some law enforcement classes, but in all truth everyone is doing that.

You may try accounting classes, and a fitness minor that might get you further.
