I prefer to walk in or boat into wilderness areas. I live in Alaska and there are very large wilderness areas here. Some have heavy traffic like the Denali area. Others seldom have a human visit them. I can’t stand a bunch of people around me on a wilderness hike. It spoils the whole thing. So I either boat in or hike in. I use a light weight dome tent and I leave nothing behind to spoil it for the next person.
I have a special area that I hike into behind Glacier Bay National Park and have never seen another human there in 15 years. In fact I have never seen any sign of humans being there; no trails, no trash, no fire pits, nothing.
