What type of BMX bike is the best?

Me and my friends have decided to start BMXing, one of my friends is getting a Felt bike, and my other friend is getting a Haro bike. What I would like to know is what type of bike is best? I only want to spend around $300 or less.

i've got a Haro back trailx and it is the best one i've found. expensive but worth it. the stunt pegs aren't included on these so you have to buy them separatly but they are really cheap
