What type of bike would you recommend for my type of riding?

Everyone has an opinion, this is mine. At $300 for a new bike, road, mountain, hybrid, etc, the best you can do is a mass market big box bike with substandard components.

That same $300 can but you a quality used middle of the line brand name bike, like those you mentioned. Sure, the bike may be a few years old but if it was quality built when new and reasonably maintained it is still a quality bike with better design, materials and components. When you're shopping for used, be looking for those bikes that were purchased by individuals who gave up riding after a few months or upgraded shortly after that first purchase. A good quality bike will be serviceable for years if properly maintained so even a well used quality bike is still a much better bet than anything you'll find at the big box stores at that price.

Stick with bikes from Trek, Specialized, Giant, Cannondale, etc., and they'll serve you well until you're ready to up-grade to a newer one. My recommendation would be a cyclo-cross bike from any of those manufacturers... a great choice for all around riding.

I am on a budget of $300 as I'm 16 and can't afford much.I ride daily and have put in 2000+ miles in a year.i mainly ride on streets, paved trails and some off roading. Is there any bike out there as a giant, specialized or diamondback in that prize range to conquer my needs? What would you recommend names and price would help!I will also choose the best answer!Thank You.

Where I live, $300/- can buy you a brand new mountain bike, but only a used classic road bike or single speed gentleman bike

Since you have already been cycling for a while with short distance, a mountain bike will do be more robust, but the gentleman bike keeps you clean from the tire splashes with its mudguards/fenders

At that budget all brands are about the same quality

for 300 i dont think you can really get to much. If i were you i would just search craigslist and ebay for a good hybrid bike. Depending on how extreme your off roading rides are i would say stay more on the road bike side of things. here are two decent ones
