I would like to plant largish trees in my back garden (which is quite large too). I already have a small pear tree and quite a big plum tree but they are quite a way apart. I was thinking of planting maybe an apple tree? The area where I want to plant the trees are away from buildings, gets moderate sunlight and about 4/5ft down the soil has a clay-ish composition. I wouldn't mind what type of tree it is but I just though fruit-bearing, large or an aesthetically pleasing tree would suit my garden! Thanks for your help and I hope I've included enough information!
