This Guy.
Megabyte
(From
Reboot)
You want a
REAL threat to humanity and the real world we live in? Look no further than Megabyte of
Reboot fame. who is in fact,
a computer virus.
Now granted in the original series (Seasons 1-3) , Megabyte's original programming was in fact turn "Mainframe' (a computer, possibly yours), into a heap of smoldering circuits and crashed hard drives. And he even wanted to infect "The Super Computer". (Think of it as him infecting the computers at "The Pentagon" or "The Kremlin" and then imagine if he got hold of the world's ICBM launch codes and launched all of them at the same time... Can we say
War Games?)
But in Season 4, Megabyte took on even new and deadlier forms. He evolved in our "Web" and took on a virulent strain.. that of a "Trojan horse Virus", one that constantly can shift at a moment's notice.. and his plan?
Well he's a computer virus... and can infect anyone's computer. So please, don't open that attachment... he could be lurking there... waiting to turn your computer into a wreck.
And if you though Megabyte was bad enough... We got another computer virus that
actually almost succeeded in bringing down the "Entire Network/World Wide Web" that Mainframe was connected to.
I'm talking about:
Daemon
(A 'Super Computer Virus')
Now in Reboot's Season 4 episodes (Called Daemon Rising), This beautiful looking virus had a dark evil and dangerously sinister side.. to infect the "Net" (or in our case, "The Web"). and what's worse? She did it without using 'ports'.
And what's even more sinister is that she actually did infect nearly the entire web with her evil viral format.. that of a "Kron" virus, a virus that counted down towards zero, and would turn the entire web into an eerie, and quiet place.. with nothing going on.. literally.
and the irony here? We actually live with tens of thousands of computer viruses... to ruin our lives, make our computers miserable, and to even steal our passwords...
So lock your files, put up firewalls on your modem, router, and even net card.. Cause while Daemon might be history, Megabyte and his "Trojan" capabilities are still there... and if he ever gets loose again from Mainframe and even more deadly then ever, well then .. we're fubared... literally...
