What to wear to my first semi formal dance?

I have my first high school semi formal dance next week and not sure what colour of shirt and tie to wear. I ready have black shoes, pants and belt. What colours of shirts and ties look good together? Im looking for something that isnt the same as every one of the other guys and makes me stand out a little, but nothing too crazy you know..
 
first of all you need to look for something that looks good on you and that is in style at the same time, i think that a demi blue shirt with a black or red tie should look good......
 
Go to men's dept in any store and find a crisp cotton shirt in your favorite color, find a tie that matches. Ask a sales clerk to help coordinate colors that look good together.

Where something classic like instead of just a jacket wear a vest with a dark blue or peachish orange colored shirt and a tie to compliment the outfit. You'll look great! XO~A
 
Are you going with a girl? Ask what color her dress is and you should wear a shirt that is that color. If it is a bright color I recommend wearing a black tie. If it is pastel a white tie would look nice. If you are not going with a girl. A dark red shirt with a black tie always looks good. A dark blue shirt with a yellow tie is a nice combo. if you are really manly a bright orange shirt with a pink tie is hot...not too many men are willing to pull it off.
 
wear booty shorts and a tank top
wear a purple tank top if ur eyes are brown to bring out ur eyes and wear a brown tank top if theyre green
also i think stillletos will make the outfit too skanky i mean comeon noww seriously that would be ridiculous so just wear some cute flats matching ur shirt

Black shirt and black silk tie works well. NO WHITE SOCKS. OR something that compliments your skin tone, if you're white stick with light blues.
 
What color are your eyes? If you have blue eyes, try a dark blue shirt with a light blue tie...if your eyes are brown, try a red shirt with maybe a black tie....or if they're green/hazel, a green shirt would make your eyes stand out.....so would purple. if you have green eyes go for a purple shirt with a blue or silver tie.
 
Just look fresh and clean.

Usually all of my guy friends just wear all black. For instance, black slacks, black shoes and a black vest over your black long sleeved shirt.

Maybe see what your friends are wearing... Or be different form them.
