What to wear to a party? (Fancy Restaurant)?

Ok so I'm 14, i'm going to another person's fourteenth. we're going 2 a fancy restaurant. Most of my friends r gonna wear dresses, but I'm not really into tha tkinda thing.

I guess you could call me a little 'tomboyish', and I don't really know what I can actually wear that will be me and my friends won't go 'oh wow u look different', but still niceish.

what about just some black jeans, black sandals like those greek kinds that i see a lotta girls wearing nowadays, and a black tank or some colored cardigan
