OK my cousin is getting married this weekend. The whole wedding is outside and the ceremony is not till 9 pm. They are close to the lake so it maybe chill at that point......I need suggestion on what to wear. The invitation didn't say anything about it.The only thing they did say is for women to remember we would be on the grass and wear appropriate shoes. HELP! Please!?

wear a solid color dress, any color but white. bring a dressy cardigan or shrug to put over it if there's a breeze. wear casual flats to the ceremony and bring a pair of dressier shoes in your car that you can change into for the reception, if you go indoors.

A late wedding is formal unless otherwise noted. I would definitley recomend a nice dress and since it is at night- nothing floral, stick with all black/blue etc, and certainly nothing resembling a prom dress- yikes! As it is outside, bring a nice shaw or sweater to keep away the chill. If you are really concerend and are friends with your cousen, call her up- brides are more than happy to dictate what their guests should wear! Hahaha just kidding...but not really, she'll know better than anyone what would be appropriate.

Any full length gown with a furry evening wrap would be stunning. I would try to wear block type heels or wedges would work well too if they aren't too high. There are also some lovely capes that could be purchased or handmade if your on a budget. Hope this helps.
