What to wear to a college orientation?

Hi,

I have to attend an orientation. It is for grad school, and will be held in the evening for a few hours. It will take place on the campus, and will just be for the students and certain faculty and staff members. It will be hot-late August.

Would it be ok to wear a capri outfit-NOT a casual one, but more of a dressy one, or is that still too unprofessional? I own a long-sleeved pants suit, but it will be too warm for that.

I am very short, and I have a hard time finding decent clothes. I am also broke, so that is an issue, too. :)

you know something? no one cares what you look like, cuz they are all paying attention to what they look like themselves. just wear anything you want. as long as you dont look like a skank or a bum, you're good.
