"professional" looking photos)? Hello!
I didn't know how to describe my question well when I used the word "professional". I like photography, I wouldn't say as something I would live off in the future but I love taking pictures. I normally have a digital compact camera and I always tend to upload my pictures and try to make them look even better (fixing lighting, texture, etc.)
I figured I'd look into buying a new camera with much more capability for better pictures.
I came across cameras like this one from Nikon (D7000), with 16.2 Mega-pixels
These are pictures of the camera, of course it's just an example of what I think perhaps would be what I need to look into if I want to keep on making photography part of a hobby of mine, and again I don't know much about cameras so that's why I ask for guidance.

A camera like this is what I need? If not, then what are the things I should look into while trying to find a good quality camera for this?
