What to give my mechanic for above and beyond assistance? Something other than money.?

He noticed that my license plate had been stolen and replaced by a plate from a different state. I really want to thank him for his help. I'll write a letter to the BBB or whatever singing his praises, but I want to give him a special thank you gift. Any ideas?
 
maybe a card with a gift card to a nice resturant...such as a chilis or tgif...
