I wish to attend MMI and graduate, ive spoken with a (recruiter/guidance consular) and he tells me of a great big world of opportunities out there, ALAS that's what everyone wants to hear, im only 6 hrs away from the orlando campus. My biggest question is can i afford to live down there and maintain my bills as well as pay my student loans??!? and on top of it all the snap on tool discount upon graduation is 50% off but damn it cost 25,000 just to attend and then throwing tools on top of that! MY 14$hr job is struggling now i couldn'timaginene the cost of living my bills and that all rolled into one! i hope there's a 20$hr job waiting for me when i get out! But theres NO guaranteetee?

That same counselor should have been able to be of assistance with housing or perhaps a dorm situation. If thats not happening he didn't do all of his job. ... That said, you may be able to live in a communal situation with room-mates and share the bills. The trick is finding like minded responsible young men to hold up their end of the deal. On tools: Hey, Snap-ons are fantastic, but very pricey even with the discount. So, apply for credit at sears and use Craftsman for the short term until you land a steady gig at a HD dealership.(I have a Craftsman box in 3 pcs taller than me just chock full and I probably didn't spend over $2500)
The specialty tools you will have to get from the outfit that makes them for harley techs, so thats an unavoidable cost..
The placement services division will surely get you in a dealer where you won't starve. Somebody's gotta work on the bikes and do the service some of us can't handle,... it might as well be you... work hard, do well.

I am part of a team that maintains over five hundred million dollars worth of packaging equipment, I don't have any snap-on tools in my toolbox. I use disposable tools, craftsman, stanley, proto, dewalt ect. snap-on tools get stolen and "borrowed", my stuff stays were I put it. No one is going to try and repo my tools If I can't make a payment. best of luck with MMI thou.
