We need more info.
1. What were your original symptoms
2. What level(s) did you have acdf at and when.
3. Do you have original MRI text and new MRI text
4. What are your symptoms now?

Answer those and a few of us will put our advice caps on.

good questions NP,as usual, lol. just wanted to also ask if you also had any hardware placement done with that surgery? was your initial pre op pain or other symptoms all resolved immediately,or eventually after or were they still there at all or just "different" than pre op?

honestly, the much more exacting and really specific you can be(espescially with any and all symptoms) with your answers here REALLY does help. Marcia

ACDF may 19th 2008, original symtoms were shoulder pain that radiated down my right arm into my hand and 3rd & 4th digits, also electric shock like pains in right forearm.Original MRI Film showed herniated disc compressing nerve root. New MRI shows no specific impingment, however I have the exact same symptoms as before surgery. adjacent levels are good ACDF with cage. Initial pain was relieved immediatly after surgery, except for the shock like pain, that never went away. Also never had any post op film of any kind until I requested second MRI after recent bout of continued pain.

You should have your doctor order for a nerve damage test, a lot of times when people have spinal problems, they dont know it for sometime until they do something to set it off, and by that time you are already all fired up in the region. Have your self checked, that will show proof they cant deny

You can get an EMG, or request a discogram to see where the problems are arising from
