Ok, I've been looking at unlocked phones for sprint and I know some things. Like how sprint isn't GSM (which is basically a phone with a sim card), they're CDMA. I know you have to only use a Sprint phone. Verizon or any other company won't work. My family has the unlimited texting and 1500 minute plan. I don't have internet, so that isn't a problem. My main concern is text messaging capability.
I also have a few questions:
1) Can you actually activate a unlocked CDMA phone for Sprint? If so, how and where (someone told me Best Buy but I'm not sure).
2) I am not looking for a full on expensive unlocked smartphone (aka iPhone or HTC Evo), just something a little better then my LG Rumor Touch, and please, a touch screen phone. No blackberries (sorry).
3) If you cannot use CDMA unlocked phones for Sprint, what non smartphones are there for Sprint that are touch screen, besides the Samsung Instinct?
4) Where can you actually purchase one online (I'm pretty skeptical).
