I moved to another country a couple of years ago and because of the heavy quarantine to plants here it is very hard to get plants of my favorite plants that I used to grow back home. I found a club to join and I did but the problem is that the club president's wife doesn't like me for some unknown reason so I stopped going to the meetings for awhile. It has been so hard to get any plants at all from club members. I managed to get 5 in the year I have been a member. The club president emailed me and asked me to come again and I said I would and I asked him if he had any spare cuttings to share and he writes me back telling me that no things were very sparse right after their annual show. This is bs because his wife has the largest collection in the club and it wouldn't kill her to give me a few leaves.
So anyway what I have done is save up and I have imported about $2000 worth of these plants into the country and went through all the cost and expense of the government hoops. I just KNOW that when I show up at the next club meeting with a new plant to show, she will want cuttings from me and frankly I don't want to share anything with her.
I thought about telling her no that they are a part of my special hybridization program and I can't spare any. I thought about just starting my own club.
