What to do about bad posture?

I was looking at myself in a mirror today and noticed that when i was standing straight, my back around chest level jutted back so it looked like I was really laying back, but my chest is also completely forward of my hips. So I looked online and I seemed to have all the signs of needing to straighten my spine. I'm a college student and I'm never comfortable sitting in a chair (I always sit with my leg on the chair or something); I usually study on a bed or on a couch in almost a fetal position. My height from my hip to my knee is almost the same as my height from my hip to my shoulders. I don't really exercise regularly, but I would say that though I'm pretty skinny I'm fairly athletic, at least over short intervals. I also sleep on my stomach which is also apparently bad.

What should I do about this? Are there any particular exercises I should do or habits I should try to change.
