Something easy, nutritious, small, and energizing. So I'd suggest some cereal bars of some sort (something that wont melt or be squished), beef jerky, dried fruit, nuts, and water. You'll want to travel light which is why I'm not suggesting stuff like sandwiches and apples, bulky stuff.
Where are you going to carry wine, cake, and sandwiches!? Wine is heavy and dehydrating, not to mention dangerous. Cake? Stupid! And sandwiches, may be a good idea if you plan on taking a backpack. I wouldn't suggest anything with cheese and meat though because cheese will melt and the meat won't stay good for long periods of time under high temps.
Also if you gorge yourself on sugery and salty foods, that'll just make you groggy and will be too heavy in your stomach. Not a good combination when hiking.
