Hardship it would bring to the people who go on strike as they are not normally eligible for benefits.

Are there funds for to assist families of strikers who suffer hardship.

Will it be backed by the public?

If only some employees are union members the others who continue to work may carry on as normal and it has no effect.

Bad reports in the press, in the present economic climate many people are struggling to make ends meet and feel any job as long as you have a job is important.

If it caused others to suffer as a result such as suppliers who have to cut down the hours of staff who supply the place that goes on strike.

Whole towns/cities have been blighted due to this and the local economy suffers due to the knock on effect.

Other suppliers may fill the gap of whatever the strikers used to manufacture and the company may not win their custom back.
