I am aware that people use mice for experimenting cures for diseases on etc but what things are tested on them?

Umm they dont always test for diseases, sometimes it's make-up and other useless things people could just themselves on. They also:
Test their memory buy electrically shocking them when go in a tube, and see if they go through it again
Burn them alive to see how long it'll take for them to die
Give them shots to get cancer so they can see how it affects their body
Do open surgerys without pain medication or anestetics
Feed them different types of poison to see which one kills the fastest
Cut their tail off while theyre awake
Inject liquids into their eyes that's extremely painful and makes them go blind
Put them in weird plastic tubes where they cant move, so they can force them to inhale things that burn their lungs and kill them
Also they shave them to test make-up that usually makes there skin irritated and gives severe rashes
It's not only mice though, they also do this to:
dogs
cats
rats
gerbils
hamsters
bunnies
ferrets
monkeys
guinea pigs
and sometimes chinchillas

are guinea pigs and mouse have almost similar DNAs as we have ? is that why , many things are tested on them?
